  • what a surprise !! we were stopping here for a day and had booked online. the haveli was an awesome surprise. amazing rooms, awesome bathrooms, courteous staff, great food. the ambience of the haveli was awesome. We were right in the middle of the famous Shekhawati area. poddar and morarka haveli are right outside this haveli which are famous for their fresco paintings . we wanted to visit these Havelis in the morning and the guide was promptly there at 730 am . the 1.5 hrs walk around the village visiting the Havelis was a great experience. In the poddar haveli we even met a painter who has been awarded various awards, infact he had an album of his awards by presidents of india and various governors. poddar haveli infact has a door which has featured even on the cover of swagat magazine. if you want to feel the shekhawati grandeur at its best then this is the place to stay....

  • lovely hotel in a very charming village I loved this place. Friendly personnel and very nice rooms. Sitting area upstairs. Despite a heater a bit cold in winter. Breakfast is delicious and the waiters very good.

  • Beautiful Haveli... A beautiful Haveli with a romantic atmosphere. The rooms are big, comfortable and clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It is located in a quiet area, so I would recommend a stay of 1-2 nights maximum (just the time to visit 1-2 Havelis and the Museum). They also have a restaurant and the food is fine, just perhaps a bit too expensive. I had a nice stay over there and I recommend this hotel.

  • Of Rustic and Royal Charm If you wish to get firsthand experience of what it is like to be a royal and if you are curious what is rural india like, Grand Haveli is the place to go. Nestled in a quiet rural setting, happily distant for tourist ridden spots, Grand Haveli offers best of both the worlds. The murals of yore are well preserved for the art explorer in you. From chandeliers to wall art to the furnishing, everything is reminiscent of old world charm. The unpolluted starry clear skies make for a astronomical delight. Food, both vegetarian and non-vegetarian, is par excellence. Service is quite fantastic and the staff is highly cordial and well behaved. Next time, you are in Rajasthan, skip the spots and the palaces, and live like a king and a commoner all at once, at the Grand Haveli.

  • Beautiful place!! We stayed in this haveli just 1 night. When you arrive you are really impressed for the beauty of this place cause everything is very well immaculate: paintings, the floor, the roof, balcony, windows... Room was clean, very big with a private entrance and decorated in an old but posh style. The only weak spot is that there are no windows that's why I cannot leave 5/5. Staff was really nice and friendly and food quite good. When we stayed there were a little marionettes show in the courtyard and then guys try to sell you their stuff.

  • A Haveli to experience Rajasthani Ethnicity We stayed only one night at Grand Haveli but what an experience. The hotel is wonderful, full of art, lovely furniture & carpets. It is a genuine heritage property with wonderful pool surrounded by lush greenery. Room and the rest of hotel(Haveli) was very well kept, clean and always fresh. Paintings on wall and roof are so well preserved which can make you feel "A Step back in time". The staff at reception were helpful as were the waiters in the restaurant.

  • Nice courtyards, extremely expensive water The hotel is very nice, beautifully decorated, with great rooms. The staff was otherwise quite friendly, but then they tried to charge 5 times normal price for a bottle of water. Disappointing. Would not visit again.

  • This is really a grand hotel It has the wow factor when you come in. Staff is pleasant and welcoming. There are many different rooms (as we were with a big group, we could see many rooms and differences) so make sure they show you several rooms before you decide. The rooms were very clean and with hot water.
